More than 450 shops are present here, selling a huge variety of products. The fact that it is still a working harbour means that tourists can see container ships and fishing boat in use while they are here.

The waterfront area is also where the Two Oceans Aquarium is located, as well as being the gateway to Robben Island.  Whether you are travelling to Cape Town from Johannesburg or from further away, this is an attraction you won’t want to miss.

 Kirstenbosch National Botanic Garden

This wonderfully well maintained botanic garden is an oasis of calm and beauty that is well worth a visit. It has a strong history of protecting and preserving the region’s indigenous plants.

The conservatory has a varied collection of plants from different zones, while the outdoor parts are typically filled with local fauna. There are several interesting trails leading off from here, including the popular Skeleton Gorge route up to Table Mountain’s summit.

It is common to find that an evening concert is being held here or that there is a Zimbabwean stone sculpture exhibition.

Two Oceans Aquarium

The thrilling Two Oceans Aquarium is located on the bustling Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. The name of the centre comes from the fact that it is positioned where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans come together.

There are 7 different galleries here, all with giant viewing windows. These include a gallery for each of the two Oceans, a predator exhibition and a kelp forest exhibition.

Cape of Good Hope

This scenic spot at the tip of the continent is a very photogenic place that tourists love. You get a wonderful view of the two Oceans here and it is a good place to stretch your legs with a stroll.
