Airlink is a privately owned airline that links the smaller towns and various regional centers throughout South Africa and beyond. It has a schedule coordination and code-sharing agreements with South African Express and South African Airways.

Hand or Cabin Baggage
Passengers are permitted to carry hand or cabin baggage without any additional charges, which is suitable for placement within the overhead racks or below passenger seating. Maximum dimensions for a single piece are 56cm x 34cm x 23cm, while maximum weight per piece is 7kg. This applies to economy and business class passengers.
Standard allowances per class for both domestic and for international flights is:
Economy Class: 1 piece with dimensions as described above, plus 1 slim-line laptop bag.
Business Class: 2 pieces with dimensions as described above, plus 1 slim-line laptop bag.
Checked/ Hold baggage:
In general, the free allowance for Airlink flights is:
Adult economy class: 20kg
Adult business class: 30kg
Infants and children who have paid a minimum of 50 percent of the normal adult fare are permitted the same baggage allocation as adults.
Infants with no seat entitlement have a free checked-in baggage allowance of 10kg, in addition to one infant car seat and one collapsible pram/ buggy.
Checked/ Hold baggage exceptions
For passage between Johannesburg and Lusaka/ Harare/ Ndola/ Bulawayo, adult economy flight allowance is for 30kg and adult business class allowance is 40kg.
Excess baggage charges
For domestic flights, per kilogram of excess baggage is charged at 26 South African rand per kg with an additional 14 percent VAT on top.
For regional flights, per kilogram of excess baggage is charged at 1.5 percent of normal one-way economy class fare.
