Lanseria Airport is 30,6km from Sandton, taking around 38 minutes via the R552. From Pretoria the airport is 59,7km and takes approximately 39 minutes on the N14 and Ben Schoeman Freeway (N1).

Lanseria Airport Parking

Lanseria International Airport provides short and long term parking facilities under permanent car ports eliminating damage to your vehicle from the sun. No pre-booking is required as parking is operated on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis.

Long term parking is for vehicles parking for more than 3 days and 8 hours at a time and if no parking is available in the long term area, short term rates will apply. Security is a top priority with the entire area patrolled by security guards and ‘Segway’s’ 24 hours every day plus controlled access entry and exit booms with interlocking spike barriers.

Passengers preferring not to walk may request a roaming golf cart.

Passengers utilising the parking area with a trailer should park their trailer in a separate parking bay and notify airport personnel who will see they are only charged for one parking bay.

Disabled passengers should look out for special bays, designated specifically for their use.

To pay for parking, machines accept cash and credit card and are located inside the terminal building. Lost parking tickets will incur a fine of R200 per day.

Drop and Go:

Travellers parking their vehicles at the airport can utilise this speedy option for collections or drop offs with provision for wheelchair access, it’s located alongside the terminal building.

Ring and Ride:

This option is ideal for people collecting passengers who don’t want to incur parking fees. It allows them to wait in their vehicle for free, for a period of 1 hour until they’ve been telephonically contacted by the person/s they’re collecting, who should only phone once they’re waiting at the ‘Drop and Go’ area and not while still retrieving luggage from inside the airport. The person collecting may then then proceed to the ‘Drop and Go’ area and collect the person who will be ready and waiting.

The ‘Ring and Ride’ is situated on the entry road leading into the airport, adjacent to the ‘ExecuJet’ facility and in close proximity to the ‘Drop and Go’ area. Simply follow relevant signage as you enter the airport.

Should you end up waiting longer than an hour you must move to the parking area over the road and must remain in your vehicle as space in this area is limited.
